How to Use Recipe Analyzer as an App (iOS)
Add the Recipe Analyzer to your iPhone Home Screen to launch it like a native app—full-screen, its own icon, and quick access to Analyze, My Recipes, and Account.
Requirements
- iPhone with iOS 15+ (best experience on iOS 16/17+).
- Safari (the Add to Home Screen option only appears in Safari).
Add Recipe Analyzer to your Home Screen
- Open Safari and go to:
https://recipecard.io/recipe-nutrition-analyzer/ - Tap the Share button (square with the up arrow).

- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.

- (Optional) Edit the name (e.g., “Recipe Analyzer”). Tap Add.

You’ll see a new app icon on your Home Screen.
Now, tap the icon anytime to open Recipe Analyzer in a standalone, app-like window.

Use it like an app
- Launch from the Home Screen icon (no browser UI).
- Sign in once to access My Recipes, save, and manage your library across devices.
- Add the icon to your Dock or a folder for quick access while cooking.
Remove the app
- Touch & hold the Recipe Analyzer icon.
- Tap Delete Bookmark, then Delete (this removes only the Home Screen shortcut; your Recipe Analyzer account and saved recipes remain available on the site).
Troubleshooting
- “Add to Home Screen” is missing: make sure you’re using Safari (not Chrome) and you’re on the Analyzer page. Scroll the share sheet all the way down.
- Opens in Safari instead of app view: remove the old icon and add it again from the exact Analyzer URL above.
- Icon didn’t appear: try again with a stable connection; confirm you tapped Add on the final step.
- Multiple accounts: if you used “Continue with Google/Apple/Facebook,” log in with the same method inside the app view.
